I Guess Not

Well it's Saturday, the end of the week, and I have zero submissions in my inbox. That ends that.

A little help from my friends

I have the hell-bound path for Dungeon mostly laid out and ready for me to implement, but I don't have anything (yet) for the multiple forest paths. I could go about this like I did for part 2 and just wait for something to come to me, but I have a better idea. I'm going to allow you to submit your ideas for the third (and probably final) part to Dungeon. Send your ideas to me via my contact email to the right.

I'll look through the submissions at the end of the week and either next weekend or the beginning of next week I'll put up a list of ideas I can work with and let all of you vote on what should be in the game.

My original intention was to tie all the divergent paths (save the hell one) back into one final culmination and end the game there. However, since I'm going to give everyone the option of choosing what will be in the game, I don't want to limit you to just one choice. After I've posted the submissions I'll allow you to donate for the one you want in the game the most and whichever one ends up with the most donations will be in the game regardless of the end tally. Now, if two submissions receive...let's say $100 in donations, I'll put in both paths. Furthermore, if three submissions garner $200 each I'll put in three paths. You can see how this might go, but I'm not going to put in an indeterminate number of paths, I'll probably max out at three for now, but if four get an outlandish amount of support I could be persuaded to do more.

In any event, please check the submissions page for rules on what I'll accept as a concept. I'll be updating you on the progress of the submissions towards the end of the week.

Making Amends

I've come to realize that I've been a bit of a dick...as far as Spaced 2 goes. The newer material I put in for Raven is virtually inaccessible unless you do some hardcore grinding. As a result I doubt many, if any, if you have seen the scenes with her in it. So as a bit of a mia culpa, I'm upping your starting credits by x10 until I can institute methods for you to earn money faster. Additionally, in response to (justified) complaints that the housing prices are astronomical, I'm halving the cost of the apartment and the residence permanently. In the .05 version of the game you should be able to work with Raven to the end of the current relationship with her without the need for any more money...but I'm still leaving an easter egg in the residence; it's an alternate path that runs parallel to the apartment, but both end at the same point so if you really want to see different scenes you can try to get the rest of the way there, but it's unneeded.

I hope this helps.

Only the Beginning (I hope)

Hello and welcome to yet another game blogsite. I'll be using this as a place to display and talk about what I'm doing with the games I'm working on (obviously). But mostly this is a place for me to get money. Yes the almighty dollar (or lack thereof) has driven me to this point where I will now beg borrow or steal to get as much of it as I can so I don't have to worry about it. But don't fret, you might actually get something.

Depending on how generous those of you out there are, I will be opening up future (and possibly current) games for fan-requested or proffered material. Additionally I may be able to make future games using RAGS if the donations reach a level where I could purchase a license, and possibly even commission artwork to be included. As you might expect the more I receive the more likely this is to pass. I won't give a set amount to the donation level (at this time) mostly because I don't know how interrested anyone really is in what I do, but I also don't want to force anyone's hand with this. No matter how low the donations may be (even 0), I'll still be working on the game, it will just take much longer for me to release a new version.

Fair warning, I'm absolutely terrible at checking my e-mail. I don't doubt that I will be just as bad with updates, though I will try to keep you more informed should your donations warrant it. Even if you don't hear anything from me I'm still probably working on the game, but as I said before: mo money, mo programming.
